From time to time we receive letters, emails and phone calls from people to whom we have homed greyhounds. Such feedback is a pleasure to receive and allows us to continually improve the help and support we are able to offer.
:: Emma from the Lake district wrote: Debbie, just wanted to write and thank you for your help and support. When I heard about a greyhound girl who was at a local kennels, due to be put to sleep, it was Greyhounds for you who I contacted and you offered immediate support. Although we knew little about the dog, other than she was in danger, you said if I could foster her you would give 100% rescue backup (pay any vets fees, give advice and start looking for a new home for her). We agreed to go and collect her and planned to bring her to you in a couple of weeks. We collected her from the local pound and she was in very poor condition, very thin, filthy and frightened. Debbie, you were always there with help and advice and support, I felt I could call you anytime and you'd be so friendly and helpful. Florence, as we called her, thrived with us and although the original plan was for her to be rehomed through G4U, we fell in love with her and she is staying here forever. We are delighted she is part of our family now and we couldn't have done this without your support. I know if ever I needed any support with Florence in the future, I could come to you. I am very grateful and impressed with G4U and am so pleased you are around to help the growing number of greyhounds needing new homes. Thanks once again, Emma x

:: Charlotte from Havant wrote: "We'd had our greyhound for about 4 months when I discovered the Greyhounds for You website. We were having problems getting him to eat at the time and I was looking for any ideas. Having read the article on feeding I then talked to Debbie and we changed his diet. The difference was amazing – He went from leaving most of his food to eating it all. We now have a happy, healthy greyhound that eats well. Since then we have added another greyhound to the family. We had some problems with her and Debbie never minded my ringing her to ask for help, even though neither of our greyhounds were adopted through Greyhounds for You. Debbie and her team have been fantastic. They are always on hand to give advice when ever we have had a problem."

He is quiet, affectionate and a great dog to have around, giving us both much pleasure. We are glad we found you and through you he found us."

:: Jean from Alton wrote: "Stigg is everything your web site said and more." and "Stigg is by far the easiest & quietest dog we have ever had, and you can add to that the most affectionate, relaxed, rewarding, sociable, obedient and trustworthy. A great Ambassador for the breed. He was placed 2nd in the Best Rescue at the Wag & Bone Show at Windsor last year. He has also been accepted as a ‘Pets As Therapy’ dog, although we have not done much ‘work’ as yet. His favourite place is under anyone’s hand."
