Testimonials
From time to time we receive letters, emails and phone calls from people to whom we have homed greyhounds. Such feedback is a pleasure to receive and allows us to continually improve the help and support we are able to offer.

"Thanks to G4U's support, I have learned more about greyhounds and their very specific needs, in just one year than I had over several years before. So much so, that I have now become a foster. Thank you Debbie and Team!"

"In October 2008, after deciding greyhounds were the breed for us, we did a google search and found numerous greyhound rescues. We approached a few but G4U were the most professional, knowledgeable and just 'felt right'. I chatted to Debbie about rehoming as we had a 6 week old baby at the time!
Debbie is the perfect matchmaker and suggested we meet Phoebe. She is a beautiful greyhound who was used to living with young children. After a home check (where an actual greyhound came to see our home, with the owner of course) we were given the go ahead to adopt.
Phoebe came to see us and ended up staying. I was provided with a great manual of info letting us know what she ate alongside anything you could wish to know about greyhounds. The G4U forum has answered all my questions and I have met some lovely people.
Phoebe has really settled into our home thanks to the way G4U match the dog to your circumstances.
Thank you everyone at G4U xx"

“When I first approached Debbie about rehoming a greyhound I had certain specific criteria to be filled i.e. must get on with puppies and also able to live with small dogs. Debbie was not fazed by that at all. Within two weeks our home check had been done and two greyhounds, due to retire, were picked for us to see. Debbie and her team got it spot on with the greyhound that was finally chosen for us. Having had Harry for a month, I can honestly say I cannot remember life without him. We are absolutely besotted by him and it is thanks to Debbie and Charlotte that it is a happy ending. If, and when, I would like to adopt another greyhound I shall certainly pick G4U.
I cannot recommend G4U highly enough.”

“If you are looking for a greyhound to home we would highly recommend Greyhounds 4U. After seeing Jake’s photo and details on the website we made contact with Debbie, from that moment on everything was dealt with very efficiently. The information and support available from the website and Debbie was very comprehensive and answered any questions we encountered. The network of foster carers, home checkers and Debbie herself make an excellent team. We know if we encounter any problems in the future help and advice is just a phone call away.”

"We'd had our greyhound for about 4 months when I discovered the Greyhounds 4U website. We were having problems getting him to eat at the time and I was looking for any ideas. Having read the article on feeding I then talked to Debbie and we changed his diet. The difference was amazing – he went from leaving most of his food to eating it all. We now have a happy, healthy greyhound that eats well. Since then we have added another greyhound to the family. We had some problems with her and Debbie never minded my ringing her to ask for help, even though neither of our greyhounds were adopted through Greyhounds 4U. Debbie and her team have been fantastic. They are always on hand to give advice when ever we have had a problem."

"Your website contained the most helpful greyhound information, hence our approach to you......He is proving to be just what we wanted, suiting our own advancing years. He is quiet, affectionate and a great dog to have around, giving us both much pleasure. We are glad we found you and through you he found us."

"...Just a thought to end the day on. If it wasn't for all your hard work the large group of happy dogs today would be just a pile of euthanased bodies."
Lesley from Poole wrote:
"Thank you so much once again for giving us a chance with her, she is wonderful. We love her very much and will send you a nice photo when we take some (that's if we can get her to stand still long enough)!"
Jean from Alton wrote:
"Stigg is everything your web site said and more." and "Stigg is by far the easiest & quietest dog we have ever had, and you can add to that the most affectionate, relaxed, rewarding, sociable, obedient and trustworthy. A great Ambassador for the breed. He was placed 2nd in the Best Rescue at the Wag & Bone Show at Windsor last year. He has also been accepted as a ‘Pets As Therapy’ dog, although we have not done much ‘work’ as yet. His favourite place is under anyone’s hand."
Nick and Delia from Surrey wrote:
"Thank you so much for your time and patience yesterday. All that Nick and I can say at this early stage is that everyone out there missed out on a wonderful dog by overlooking Harry for adoption."
Caroline from Guildford wrote:
"Honey has bought us so much pleasure and I thank you again for your patience with me, but we really did get there and get it right. I now have the perfect partner (as well as the perfect boyfriend)!"
Shelagh and Rob from Cardiff wrote:
" The greyhounds continue to fill our lives with love and delight. As we get to know them better the more wonderful and interesting they become. They really are special. Our heartfelt thanks to Greyhounds 4U and Greyhounds in Need."
